Water I

Updated: Sep 5

Water I will delve into marine mythology, aesthetics, flavours, sounds and smells.

I've always felt inspiration is so personal. My whole life I was taught to humbly offer credit where it is due. I developed a strong justice sensitivity at a young age, which is why I love to and simply cannot help but acknowledge those who influence me. Nature I find most magical, especially oceans, storms, rivers and waterfalls. Water I is the first research blog post that demonstrates some of the most impactful work I've seen, all referencing the sea and what she creates, being submerged or soaked.

Fairytales by Petra Collins

This photographic publication celebrates the eroticism within folklore. It offers a perspective of fairy tales in the contemporary age, as escapism.

Integrating fantasy into the banal - Alexa Demie portrays fairies, sprites, mermaids, sirens, banshees, angels and elves existing in an urban and erotic settings.

Odious Rot

Issue three: Troubled waters ~~ Sirens and Selkies.

Eartheater

She is the Mother of Pearl, the siren we'd follow to the depths, the oceans tide made flesh. Her work is surreal, transcendental and alluring like nothing I've ever witnessed.

Koi Experiential

Grace. Opulence. The ocean's jewel. Paspaley is an elegant dish "inspired by the luminescent beauty of Mother of Pearl," features pearl meat, grilled spring greens, oscietra caviar, salted pea gelato and creme fraiche with kombu."
